Last night @sams-favourite-things read to me for an hour before bed and it was the best sweetest thing ever. It was super relaxing and a really interesting well written story so far and the only way it would have been better would have been curled up on him in person listening to that deep rumble emerge from his chest and vocalize while feeling his warmth.
Update: It is better. It is perfect. Hearing the echoing rumble in his chest under my ear and his voice fill the room, nestled up against him looking so studious, his arms long enough to reach around me and turn the pages resting the spine of the book gingerly on the back of my arm? No place I’d rather be.
Very belated update: @rae-being-naughty has read to me too (only over the phone, but it’s still great). The first couple of nights she did was when I was sick, and it was the most comforting thing to curl up in bed with the lights out and my eyes closed and just listen to her voice. ❤
